Editor-in-Chief
Shihun Lee
Shihun (she/her) is in her final year at McGill University, studying Economics with a minor in Political Science. This is her fourth year with the Catalyst team, and she is excited to step into the role of Editor-in-Chief. Shihun is passionate about international political economy, human rights, and journalism. In her new role, she aims to continue growing Catalyst, producing high-quality work, and cultivating a collaborative platform where students can freely exchange ideas and amplify diverse voices.

Co-Managing Editor
Gabriella Klimov
Gabriella (she/her) is a fourth-year student at McGill, majoring in Environment and minoring in International Development Studies and Management. She is thrilled to step into the role of Co-Managing Editor for her fourth year at Catalyst. Gabriella is driven by her passions for sustainable development and research. She is excited to continue growing them through Catalyst while helping others do the same.

Co-Managing Editor
Lily Christopoulos
Lily (she/her) is in her final year studying History and Political Science at McGill University. As Managing Editor, she is eager to continue fostering a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment at the Catalyst. Her academic interests include global economic inequality, neocolonial institutions, and climate justice, with a particular focus on the historical forces that connect these issues.

Francophone Section Director
Noé Beaudoin
Noé (she/her) is in her third year at McGill University, studying Economics, International Development, and English Cultural Studies. After a year working with Catalyst, she looks forward to becoming more involved in student journalism through her role as French Director. Noé is interested in the implications of global citizenship and cultural discourse in an increasingly globalized context, especially through a decolonial and historically-informed lens.

Newsletter Director
Tessa Kolovarsky
Tessa (she/her) is a second-year student at McGill University pursuing an Honours Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Environment. She is thrilled to step into the role of Newsletter Director, overseeing The Capsule and delivering biweekly coverage of international news. Tessa is particularly interested in using historical context as a lens to understand global issues and is passionate about student journalism.

Creative Director
Fatima Bah
Fatima (she/her) is a third-year Political Science student with minors in International Development and Communications. Last year, she was part of the Catalyst Podcast team, where she engaged with different topics and perspectives. She is excited to join the journal this year and to work with the Catalyst staff.

Social Media Director
Sophie Barrett
Sophie (she/her) is a fourth year student studying Political Science and Communications. This is her second year working as Catalyst’s Social Media Manager, where she works to promote all of the great work done at Catalyst on Instagram and LinkedIn. Sophie’s interests lie in international politics, gender injustice, and the growing influence of social media in society.
